DATE: Georgian, c.1820

A thoroughly charming Georgian half-hoop ring set with alternating natural pearls and emerald. With sweeping rococo-style openwork shoulders, and tiny gold pommels above and below the stone settings, it's really quite a marvellous example. Hand crafted in England in 15 karat gold during the 1820s (or thereabouts).
